Pointless Poll

Each month we hold a pointless poll - just for fun! To cast your vote for this month simply complete the form below:

It's always fun to see a star appear as themselves (or a version of themselves) in a movie. From our selected short-list of cult movies which star cameo is your favourite?
Being John Malkovich [1999] Charlie Sheen
Free Enterprise [1998] William Shatner
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle [2004] Neil Patrick Harris
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back [2001] Ben Affleck and Matt Damon
Little Nicky [2000] Henry Winkler and Ozzy Osbourne
Mars Attacks! [1996] Tom Jones
Ted [2012] Sam Jones
Zombieland [2009] Bill Murray
Zoolander [2001] David Bowie

Thank you to everyone who votes in our pointless poll. Previous poll results have been :
  • Mystery Men [1999]The result for our best movie villain poll was Billy Drago with Rutger Hauer coming in second place.
  • Your favourite Eli Wallach role was starring alongside Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef in The Good The Bad and The Ugly [1966].
  • Maximum Force [1992] was picked as your favourite cult movie featuring the legendary Mickey Rooney.
  • Our best movie of 2013 poll was won by Alexander Payne's Nebraska starring Bruce Dern as an aging and confused pensioner believing he has to get to Nebraska to claim a million dollar sweepstake win that he received in the mail, which of course he hasn't. This excellent drama beat of tough competition from the rest of the candidates with Behind the Candelabra and Django Unchained coming joint second.
  • Michael Winner's best movie was voted to be The Mechanic [1972], starring Charles Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent. This was actually remade in 2011 with Jason Statham and Ben Foster in the main roles.
  • It was very close, but the winner of the best Family Christmas Movie was Scrooged [1988].
  • Your favourite revenge thriller from the 1970's was a runaway winner for the classic Get Carter [1971].
  • Mystery Men [1999] was your favourite amateur Super Hero movie, just beating off stiff competition from Kick Ass [2010].
  • According to you Blue Velvet [1986] was Dennis Hoppers best movie to date ... pretty good choice.
  • Mortal Kombat [1995] was the best arcade game movie spin-off from the 1980's/early 1990's.
  • Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre [1974] and sequels makes the best horror movie masked killer.
  • Tom Conti has made the best screen Pope in Saving Grace [1986], just beating tough competition from Dom DeLuise!
  • Phenomena [1985] was the best High School horror movie.
  • Timothy Olyphant was the best movie hitman - oh well there's no accounting for taste.
  • A Nightmare on Elm Street [1984] as John Saxon's best film... and he's been in a lot!
  • Let The Right One In [2008] was the best snow set horror movie.
  • The Cannonball Run [1981] was the best car race movie.
  • Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels [1998] is your favourite movie starring Vinnie Jones (personally, I prefer the enjoyably bad Strength and Honour [2007] myself).
  • The Break [1995] is the best movie about Tennis.
  • Bad Santa [2003] is your favourite adult Christmas movie.
  • My Little Eye [2002] is the best website/hidden camera horror movie.
  • Caged Heat [1974] was your favourite Women in Prison exploitation drama.
  • National Lampoons Animal House [1978] was the runaway winner for the best film in the National Lampoons series.
  • Superman II [1980] was your favourite Superman film starring Christopher Reeve.
